We went to Disneyland last weekend. But shhhhh.....don't tell our kids, we told them we were just going to a hotel for the weekend. So we decided to take another adult only vacation with Landon and Brea this summer. When they found out we had never been to Disneyland without kids (or not pregnant) we knew that was our place. At the last minute we thought we would leave Thursday night instead of waiting until Friday morning.....we wanted to be spontaneous. So we sleep all the way to Yuma while Landon drove. Then the next morning at 101 degrees or what they say was 10am we left for San Diego. In San Diego we went to the Temple there, had lunch, and went through a session. It was such a beautiful temple, but Mesa's Temple grounds I think are much better. We were in the car most of the day. But FINALLY we got to Anaheim. The next day we went to Disneyand. Landon and Brea had it planned out which ride to go to, and what order. So we followed their lead. The lines weren't too bad.....some rides we went on twice. We walked, and walked, and walked, until finally at dinner time we decided to leave for food. We ate at Bubba Gump's...it was REALLY good. Not quite sure if we were just starving to dealth, or it was really good. Then like the crazy people we are, we went back to Disneyland...until 11:30. We left to come home the next day, we had a little bit of confusion about going east or west.....but after a 3 hour detour we were on our way home. Jeremy and I were SO tired, and sore, and felt sick from all the food we ate, and spent more money than we had planned.....but we had so much fun, and laughed so much, and grew closer....it really was worth all those hours in the car.
